Strawberry Pie – Veggie Dips – Homemade Pizza

Hey Guys! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here. About 2 months I think. I’ve just been busy and sidetracked but I really miss bringing you guys all my useless information here, haha. Today we have some food to talk about.

Strawberry Pie !! Strawberry’s in any way are my favorite. Mostly love the plain old berry. But a good ol strawberry pie now and again is so good. I hear the ongoing problem with them is not setting up great and turning runny. So I gave it a shot. This one looks wonderful. It tasted fabulous! But yes, it turned runny as well after the next day. Which just meant we had to eat it quickly. I’m not sharing the recipe because I thought it was too sweet and the runny thing. When I find a good one, I’ll definitely share it here. If you have a non-runny one (that isn’t the Jello filling), please share it in the comments.

Veggie Dips. I’m looking for help from you all on this one. I don’t mind eating veggies but I almost always need a dip. The main ones I eat are carrots, cucumbers (technically a fruit I think), broccoli and I eat a ton of yellow peppers with a good dip. I used to have a really good one but it was a real pain too make and pretty high in calories. So I gave it the boot. I have tried a couple good hummus’s. One I thought was real good was Kirkland brand. I like quac better with chips, but I LOVE the Southwest Guacamole from Aldi’s. SO GOOD. Which is why I think I might like the dip in the next picture, it’s a southwest too.

I’m thinking this one might be good with peppers. I’m going to pick some up on Monday, will report back what I think.

Homemade Pizza. We love homemade pizza around here. We try all different kinds of toppings. One day, I’m going to have one of those at home fire pizza oven pits, or whatever they are technically called. This is one of our favorites. Please excuse the very, very crappy pictures. Recipe below. It’s a Chicken Garlic Pizza, a copycat from the Papa Murphy’s one. My side is the side with extra tomatoes.

Here is another crappy picture once it was done and half gone. It’s just so good !

Chicken Garlic Pizza Recipe

Crust: use whatever you prefer or make your own… we use the premade pizza dough from Sams Club Cafe.

Sauce: mix and spread over dough

2/3 cup ranch dressing
1/2 to 1 TBSP minced garlic

Toppings: place on top of sauce in any order you choose

3 cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 grilled chicken breast, sliced or shredded
2 Roma tomatoes, diced
1/4  cup coarsely sliced green onion tops

Every oven is different, but when using our Sams dough, on parchment paper on my pizza stone… I bake it at 425 for about 15 minutes.

I’ve love for you to share your favorites !

I am finding the Marzetti’s Southwest Ranch is good with veggies, tostidos, baked potatoes, fries, burgers, chicken…a lot of things! But their caramel dip, I mean c’mon… that deserves it’s own post right there!! Hands down the best one !!
