Diamond Art
Hey there. I hope you are all doing well. Have you ever heard of Diamond Art or some call it Diamond Painting? We had not until Ashlyn was shopping with her Grandma and saw them at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn Fabrics. Here is what it looks like all done. This picture does not even come close to doing it justice. So much prettier and more sparkly in person.
All these diamond beads are separated by color. There is a key code on the picture, upper left corner in above picture. It’s similar to paint by numbers. You get this pen like thing, you dip it in the sticky stuff, grab a diamond and stick it on the mat. The sticky stuff reminds me of that container of pink stuff you see bankers use to grab the bills better. It’s only to grab the diamond.
It’s really easy and neat. If you like paint by numbers, or doing puzzles, you may like this sort of thing. She’s got about 8 more to do. For her it’s a good winter project. You can see in this one some have sparkle and some are matte finish.
Some are a full mat of solid diamonds and this one is partial. The flowers were already there and she just had to do the birds. They are pretty neat. It’s just a matter of what you do with them afterwards. You can roll them up if you need to. I know they are available at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and Amazon for sure.
They do fill your time but they are easy to stop and start if you have a place to keep it out, like when doing a puzzle.
Do you enjoy this type of project?
Or do you not have the patience for it?
What is your favorite winter time project?
