Wonder by R. J. Palacio – Review

To say this is a great book is an understatement. It gets a 5 star rating from me. This is a book I would normally read, but I felt compelled to read it because of all the bullying you hear these days. Having a 5 year old myself, you can only hope the years ahead will be kind to her. The boy in this book is middle school age and has a facial deformity, which makes things tough from the start. Kids or no kids, I highly recommend this book. A good emotional read. The subject is such a huge issue that I think it should be a mandatory read in school. Everyone should learn to be a little kinder to others. One act of kindness can make a big impact. I loved the message this book delivered. I’ll be saving it for A to read in about 6 more years.
