Wands for Wildlife

Have you ever heard of Wands for Wildlife ?  I had not.

They recycle and save lives. If you use mascara, there is another use than in the garbage for the wand. Old mascara wands are used to remove fly eggs and larva from the fur of wild animals. They work great because the bristles are close together.

So if you ever have any, here is their website if you are interested in donating your old ones to them. Before mailing, wash wands in warm soapy water to remove residual mascara. They give details, the form and address on their website.

It’s the Appalachian Wildlife Refuge and it’s their Wands for Wildlife program. I am not affiliated with them, this is not a sponsored post or anything. I just thought this was an easy way to help, so I wanted to pass it along is all.

Have a great day everyone!

Do you know of any easy ways to donate to a good cause? Please share in the comments so we can all help.

I just heard about this on the news the other night. Or maybe it was the Today show. But thanks for posting the link to their website!
