Trails
We camped and hit more trails this weekend. This was a much longer one than before, with hills and areas to watch your footing. Ashlyn did great. Which I was thankful for because I was not intending on any piggy back rides.
She was ready to go, sporting her pajama unicorn bottoms, and binoculars with compass.
She was a trooper and did quite well. Checking out the signs for poison ivy and ticks. Thankfully we had no tick encounters, as they tend to wig me out pretty good !
Only a few times, did she start asking about bears and what all lived in the woods around here.
More than half of this trail was grassy, but not tall grass. It just makes it easier for big sticks and branches to hide themselves for klutz’s like us to trip over. I loved the stretches that are pine covered. Easier walking and prettier.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun?
What a pretty area! It's awesome to see A. hiking and so active w/ you guys.
This whole camping thing has opened up some new activities for us. It's been really fun ! And I'm so glad she enjoys all the activities too !
