Kim Swims Documentary

Hey friends. I just watched a really good documentary I’d like to share with you. Have you seen Kim Swims yet?

It’s about Kim Chambers attempt to become the first woman to swim 30 miles through very cold rough waters, swirling currents and shark inhabited waters off the San Francisco coast. After a freak accident, she was told she had a 1% chance of walking unassisted again. She was not a swimmer in her younger years. She has not only walked again, but she has swam some of the hardest marathon open water swims in the world. There are only 5 people who have completed the swim. She is one of them and the first woman.

Would I swim through the worlds largest population of Great White sharks to fulfill a dream and goal? Oh hell NO. That’s a big old negative ! Dream and goal would go unfulfilled and I’d be totally ok with that. I won’t even swim in our pool until it reaches 80 degrees. I’m too much of a weenie but I loved watching this film on someone tough as nails who can do it.

Here is the trailer. I watched it on Netflix. It might be available on Amazon Prime or You Tube. It was a little over an hour long.

Have you seen this before?

What other documentary’s do you recommend? They pass treadmill and exercise bike time so well.

If you watch Kim Swims, let me know what you thought.
