iGoku Car Charger for Front & Back Seat – Review

This is what you will receive. The charger itself with a total of 4 USB ports, 2 for the front and 2 for the back.  A clip for pocket mounting and a rotatable round clip for pole mounting. Technically I guess you can’t see the pocket clip since it’s on the back of the charger, oops !!

This piece is pretty versatile. It clips to a pole very easily. You can face that pointing up or down, the clip rotates and swivels. You can see the notches, it is adjustable to your size of pole, then just find the right notch and snap in place. Fits all snug. No tools required. Each clip just snaps on and off the back of the charger to change from a pocket mounting or pole mounting. Easy and fast.

There are (4) 2.4A USB ports. The cable is about 6′, making it pretty convenient to reach about any spot you need it to. The cord tucks down in between the seats along the console out of the way.

No more unplugging someone else to charge yours, everyone can charge at the same time. Come on, you know you’ve done it. Been down to 6%, check the other persons phone and they’re only at 14%, but you unplug them anyway to get a little juice yourself. We are all a little selfish like that. Eh, maybe it’s just me !

Plug in the front. Pretty dusty up there.

Run the cable between the seats and clip anywhere that is convenient.

There is a little blue LED light around the USB port, so you can easily see it at night. That feature would not photograph well, so please just take my word for it.

I tried it on the headrest pole for a little while. I pointed it down so my daughter could reach it just a bit better. We liked it both ways, the clip or the pole. Both were convenient and handy. I really have no preference which I like better. Other than, depending on who is in the front, they may not want their headrest up.

A couple more great features:

  • Smart Identification Technology. The intelligent chip identifies any devices you plug in and matches the optimal charging efficiency for you.
  • Broad Compatibility. The car charger supports devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod, Smartphone, digital cameras, tablets, MP3 players, etc. Each USB supplies 2.4 amps of power, which allows 4 devices to be charged at the same time. No need to wait for others to finish charging !
  • 100% Safety Guard. There is a built-in fuse, which will prevent your devices from power surges, over-charging, over-heating and short circuiting. You can be sure you are charging safety !

One last thing, it’s such a great price point. When we find a good useful product, it really tops it off when it’s affordable as well. With Christmas not far off, this would make a great stocking stuffer.

I have tried several products by iGoku and this one did not disappoint. It was dropped (on accident) several times, sits in the hot car, and I’ve had absolutely no issues with it. Our family loves it. It’s been so useful when we are in for a long car ride to know we can all stay charged up. Especially if you are using your phone for GPS directions, listening to Pandora, Googling places to eat when you stop next, your kids are playing games, Snapchatting and a million other things….we all know how quickly these things run the battery down.
